Have been using this practice in Urmston for the last 40+yrs, over which time l have had 7 cats, currently have 2 named Buddy & Holly. I have always and continue to receive good service. Visited today for annual check up with vet & vaccinations. Calm and visibly clean environment. Staff are professional and pleasantly engaging as ever. Buddy & Holly treated gently by vet who appeared genuinely interested in their wellbeing. Big thankyou and keep up the good work. I would highly recommend this veterinary practice based on my experience.

All the staff and vets at this practice are amazing. Our DaxiJack has been having issues with her ears the last 6 months. Everyone here really cares about the animals under their care. Special thanks to Dan for all the care and attention he has given to our dog Pickles.

Today was our first time visiting Buchanans Urmston with our 12year old Husky, who suffers from arthritis. Gaby the vet was fantastic with Nyla, the consultation wasn’t rushed and Gaby explained all the options available for Nyla. You can tell they really care for the animals here. Big thank you from us and of course Nyla x

This veterinary practice is amazing. Tonight we had to phone them to get an emergency appointment for our cat. Our own vets had refused to see her. They stepped up and got her seen straight away. Such kind, caring staff who looked after us all too. They stayed late on a Friday night to ensure she was okay.

DO NOT RECOMMEND - DO NOT USE - HORRENDOUS!!! Tried to get emergency appointment Friday after my 10 year old GSD hurt her leg and couldn’t stand up. Got told no emergency all appts and would have to contact pet medics as they were their emergency hospital and I would have to pay £180 consultation and medication on top and treatment. I said I didn’t even think we could get her in the car as she couldn’t stand up. Was there anyway I could get any pain relief medication for no I got told. Got to pet medics asked why it was so expensive and got told it’s because iIt was out of hours - this was 12 noon on a Friday. £250 later I was sent out with painkillers two weeks medication.on the way out I I got a phone call from Buchaanan to say we can fit you in now. So they made me pay £120 extra for basic consultation. My dog improved slightly over the weekend, but the medication course severe diarrhoea. I phoned back Monday Morning And said, is there any medication you can give to help with the diarrhoea got told well there’s no emergency appointment you’ll have to go back to pet medics. I said no, she doesn’t need to see the vet the medication starting to work, but she needs something to help with the diarrhoea. Got told well we haven’t seen your dog. Yes, you haven’t seen my dog because you didn’t have any emergency appointments even though it was in the daytime. I said I wasn’t going back to pet medics I’m not putting through the trauma of getting in the car so all I got told was stop the medication that was helping her. My poor dog Was suffering, I told the receptionist That you’ve taken on too many patients you’ve been too greedy, and you can’t provide even the basics of what Veterinarian surgery's should be providing. In the end, I transferred back to my old Vet. I am absolutely disgusted they were so quick to try and get me to go back to pet medics and just fork out hundred and hundreds of pounds. They don’t have enough vets they are not interested in animal welfare. They are greedy corporate business as as just been exposed on BBC. One gladly companies like this are now being investigated and let’s hope they throw the book at them please if you value your pet find a local small practice where they actually have animal welfare as a priority

I come here with my assistance dog Hugo. I feel like the team here can't do enough for me. I'm a 41yr old male military veteran (apparently we need to show this info for context). The staff I've met are beyond lovely and very approachable. I can't see how a nice person couldn't get nice responses from these wonderful people.

First visit since I registered my cats after using another vets for many years. Easy to book in, plenty of options for people that work Unlike my previous vets. All staff were welcoming & friendly. Love the fact they have a separate waiting area for customers with cats 😀 Vet was easy to communicate with, efficient & informative. Very happy I have moved here.
