My first visit to this practice yesterday left me so impressed, what a novelty and how lovely to find an Independent Vet with years of experience and knowledge. So many surgeries are staffed with young newly qualified Vets, probably because they are cheap to employ. Acorn Vets may not have the smartest most modern building, that matters nothing to me, I want the best, most well informed advice regarding my dogs welfare. This I certainly received and I'm now in the process of registering my other 2 dogs here.

My dog ate food that was potentially poisonous, I rang the vets and they asked me to go straight there, I took my dog there and was treated amazingly, they took him in for the day, sorted him out, and sent us home with his medication and booked him in for a check up in a couple of days. I was surprised that the cost of this was so reasonable considering it was pretty much treated as an emergency. I spoke to Simon, the amazing women on reception and his wife, all treated me with respect. Thank you Acorn.

Rang to see if taking on new pets at 9am, Simon answered and said yes we are but can you ring at 11 as we have no admin staff here at the minute. Not a problem, rang back at 11. To be greeted with the most vile woman. Shut down "no ring next week" I said well I spoke to Simon this morning and he said ring back at 11. She then said "well I'm saying no" and the conversation went on from there. What a horrible vile woman should not be in the job she's in because her attitude is disgusting. Simon I know she's your wife but get rid of her because she's absolutely vile 😂 hopefully she doesn't speak to you with no respect at home. The 1 star is still far too much to rate if im honest.

Incredibly caring vets. The people who give low star ratings are those who either; do not understand the profession (actively ignorant or otherwise), These people are not in it for the money, they do this because they truly do care even if they have a business to run. I can guarantee that all the people who are claiming that they were treated poorly are lying out of their back teeth about not being the initial aggressors. This is a private business and the customer is in-fact, *not always right*. All in all, lovely people who run a lovely practice. Be kind to the staff and they'll be kind to you.
